Can some please advise how to reduce a 10mm cable ferrule to 6mm ferrule size? I have an old CU where neutral terminal would not take such big ferrules. Im not worried about current capacity drop as circuit is fed from 30A MCB anyway. I will change it to 40A or 50A when I replace CU and install the correct ferrule then. Optionally, can I just remove some strands (not too many, just enough to fit into 6mm cable ferrule (its 10mm HO7RNF)?

No you do not remove strands.

If you have no other option use pin ferrules then heat shrink over the crimp

You could have just used smaller cable.

Yeah there is that also.
This is what I was considering but I was not sure if this is safe in my situation. I have already 10mm2 cable run to my garage. Like on the picture (please see below). I discovered this problem when making the final wiring to the CU. Everything is already set and I cannot change too much. What I could change is running 6mm2 cable instead of 10mm2 (either H07RNF or 6181Y) from the CU to the JB. Is it safe to do that if I feed it from 30A MCB instead of 40A?
