Got to put a quote in for re wire on a 11 bedroom hotel. Anyway what is the differnece with the regs on hotels, does it all have to be rcd protected, where do the emergency lights have to go , any dos and donts all help appreciated thanks.

if you have to ask on a forum about whether you need to install an rcd in an 11 room hotel or "were do the emergency lights go" i strongly suggest you go back to college for a few more years
what the hell has happened to our skilled men?
"any do,s and donts
don,t

Contact an electrician

Revenge is sweet ;) HA

Um na mate, just same and as for emergency lighting what i normally tend to do is go overboard, and use common sense.. As in Light by door of room.. things on that nature

Other than fact its a COMMERCIAL building a hotel so you Dont have to worry about RCBO's etc.

Anyone putting nails in walls or screws in wall should be competent so will know not to drill above a light switch ;D!

You have been asked to quote for a 11 bed hotel and your asking a forum what the crack is.... Maybe id stick to pat testing there kettles and ask spark that knows what he is doing to do the proper work.

With respect asking questions like that on a forum is only going to spark outrage.....

But good luck with the rest of the pat testing...

well unless your happy to fit rcd sockets to all the outlets in guest rooms maybe you should think about using rcbo's.

Eh? The regs are the regs.......they apply, it's that simple. Try reading them???? Difference from what? Your post makes no sense. Sorry. :)

Jeez.....the regs apply to any and all installations....not just a domestic dwelling situation or a hotel....I don't understand why someone would think otherwise. RCBOs are just breakers with integrated RCDs.....why single them out for a mention....makes no sense.
