Got to put a quote in for re wire on a 11 bedroom hotel. Anyway what is the differnece with the regs on hotels, does it all have to be rcd protected, where do the emergency lights have to go , any dos and donts all help appreciated thanks.

The moderation team have already 'steered the wayward ship'.

There is, to me, a big problem generally (for example, in football) with over reaction.

What happened to thick skin? Laughing it off? Seeing a bigger picture.

Let the name calling wash over you, through you, under you and any other route but rise above it and look at the message behind it.

I apologise in advance, yes. I have been drinking. My tankard has been placed on the bar.

And did he say he does not have a copy of the regs ???? No I think not oh and as good as means no I guess.. Seriously!!

Ok, you're quite right, the comment about no copy of the regs was sarcastic and from someone else.

Seriously though, he has just come on here and asked some really basic questions. I'm a non-apprenticeship guy, only doing domestic, but I know how to use the regs book and work things out without coming asking silly questions!

You guys have got to take chill pills sometimes people might ask stupid question it's not your place to ridicule them if its stupid don't answer if you can help out let people share your knowledge if not go and join handbag.com " suits you sir " if I'm right please show your support!!!!

Yet another post where no one knows how to advise the op but ridicule him you all should be ashamed of yourselves mods I think you should take action these people don't even belong in kindergarten let alone on a so called respectable electricians site an utter disgrace

Em, Had up pal.... I am a big believer of "No Question is a silly question" however as an electrician being asked to tender for a big rewire..The last thing i would be doing is asking a forum basic questions about RCD protection and security lighting. The guy is clearly out of his depth im affraid.

And yes the site is for Electricians.. If you have been asked to price a job and prior to doing this you have to ask a forum what is needed, Then mark if you cant see what the problem is then I think your in the wrong place also
