Discuss Ring final testing question in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net
I did remove a couple of other cables of similar size to see if that was the case but ran out of time, will try again tomorrow. Wasn't overly bothered as all other tests were fineMixed up the wires?

Is this a twin and cpc installation? have you managed to identify the individual cables? if yes then it's probably a loose or missing connection at one of the sockets, or a bad connection during testing.Testing my extensions wiring today and noticed cpc fails continuity. Howevery I have continuity from outward leg to main earthing bar in CU
Any ideas how ?

Agree and some thanks for the help, not holding my breath though.Nice of him to get back on and let us know how he did!
You would have thought so.^^
I still don't understand. End to end continuity tests are the first to do on a new or a modified ring circuit.
Surely you know which are the correct ends?
