ring testing

whlist testing a ring final socket circuit r1, rn and r2 end to9 end had all the same readings found a spur taken from the ring for an electric towel radiator remove the cpc from towel radiator and end to end test were spot on reconnect towel radiater and r2 end to end was reduced to virtulally equal to r1 and rn any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

so do u record the readings with towel rail disconnected as the cpc is no longer 1.67x more than r1, rn or record r2 at lower value which woulnt look right on eic

PS not all CPC's are to the 1.67 multiples!

I'd record with it disconnected as that's the true reading and who's to say the towel rail won't be removed in the future ?

would it be worth mentioning the parallel bath in the coments section stating the towel radiator causing parallal path to explain unusual readings also lowerd the zs reading as well took zs with radiator cpc connected and without lowered the zs value

It would be worthy of note as it's so important to cover yourself now and IMO would show you had a thorough approach to the testing.

You are testing the Ring Final Circuit fixed wiring, not what is connected to it.
