Right ho chaps and chapesses,
Its time rat out the rubbish. What have you used recently that has been complete and utter poo.
Lets start with anything that has Proteus on the label, and there is some completely useless swa cable out there as well. You know the stuff, its like a coiled spring sitting on the drum waiting to snare you at first pull.

some people seem to swear by GEWISS isolators (or is that swear at!), can't understand what they see in them, small enclosure and terminals and too many screws...

i agree the internal tails take up too much space. it's to allow for flexibility in configuring ther circuits. any board will be awkward to fit the cover if the wall is uneven and the case distorts. had it on wylex and crabtree. but for the priceof a hi integ. bd. BG are good value.

i`v fitted a couple of high integrity BG C/Us since my previous post on em in here and i have found em to be ok......been workin on an MEM 16th C/U today....didn`t like the plastic rail that supports the earth bar....flimsy crap.....

a well known large electrical wholesaler that ripped me for £13.50 for a box of penny washers that were £3 in tool station

those 10 lengths of plastic conduit i got stuck with the other week, cracked and split, tbh I thought it was me out of practice but by the previous posts maybe its just naff cheap plastic they are using now.

BG 10 way CU is a well designed board and at a cracking price - wasn't it £45 with 10 breakers in electricfix recently - it's also better than a lot of the bigger "brands" in the market, the only problem being the "client" can also get this from B&Q or electrifix/screwfix - but strill technically a great product

the worst thing going, IMO, is the cut-out sections on the back of plastic CUs, that can only be cut using a 2" hole saw. stanley? tried that, cut hand and broke blades. next one, i'm getting the fein to it.

I can actually Use mine, used it today...... Lol it ain't that bad.

Worked fine the first time I used it. Then I put my toolbag down and it broke

Capping nails. Whoever came up with that idea should be taken outside and shot.
They're a poor 'solution' to a problem which had already been solved better with clout nails.

MK dual RCD consumer units, cheap, flimsy crap, door falls off when opened and din rail has a tendancy to drop a little when full of breakers so you cant get the lid on without alot of force.
