what about zebedee? boingggg.

We didn't get that far.

The Geordie glare and growl changed his mind so now he's abandoned that idea and is trying something else a bit less invasive. ;)

surely anything else would be less invasive!!

When the wife was pregnant, had planned cesarean. at one scan appointment with male nurse, there was a minor issue as something hadn't lowered or raised that was supposed to. he advised a more invasive check which we weren't comfortable with and he said 'it's not a problem, just sign here to say you've declined'. Of course you think 'oh maybe we should allow it'. When I asked what possible complications could be caused if we don't, he replied 'well, it could lead to an emergency cesarean'. He knew we had one planned and I'm so glad I questioned it. I thought about reporting it but was worried it might affect future care. Question everything Geordie n hope you get it sorted

Hey Geordie hasn't been well, don't humiliate him as well lol

She knows, and it's thanks to her that I'm quite well just now - lately she's managed to drag a GP out of his full surgery and up the stairs direct to my bedside and on Saturday night managed to arrange four paramedics and two ambulances all to arrive at the same time to my house.

Good going there pet, it's almost worth being poorly just for the entertainment value ;)

Thank you.

Believe me I'm suspicious of everything and everyone connected with NHS, Social Services, Local Authority and any other "authority" - especially the police, and anything I happen to miss Tidyboiler pounces on like a tiger.

With her around I feel quite well protected and safe. :)

Every bloke should have a Pikey girlfriend.

Don't be harsh on the NHS Geordie, they've been outstanding stars for us over the last 17 years (I'm not going into details, so don't ask).
I agree 100% though with the rest of the list, especially No 2, what a bunch of :-------::-------::-------: they are!

Aye .. I know exactly what you mean Archy.

EDIT

Sorry Archie - not meaning to be harsh on NHS, but right now I have two official complaints about two of my GPs on the go so I'm a bit twitchy.

and who else is tired of it?

You haven't quite fully grasped how to use internet yet Glenn.
90+% of it is pörnography, 9+% of it is created by loonies, and remaining <1% is the only bit left that has any credibility.
You need to learn how to spot the tiny bit. The vast majority does have very significant interest though! :)

I think it's a case of the luck of the draw with the NHS I work for them and they can be absolutely first class, like the very handsome and charming GP in the WIC on Saturday night, as opposed to the scruffy shower who can be seen regularly in some surgeries. The care received fluctuates too, from the tactless throwaway comments to the caring empathy shown last Saturday. I am always 100% by Geordie's side and make sure he gets the best attention or I start growling too. He has to last me a good few years........... I need to look after him. ;)

Nice one Arch, loads of those social 'workers' don't know the meaning of 'work'.
I was involved with them in offices for the first 6 months of my working life. Some are good, honest folk who have found a true vocation in life. The vast majority are stuck up their own backsides and are only out to get what they can. That was a long time ago...and things don't improve over time, for sure.

I think it's a case of the luck of the draw with the NHS........................

It's such a huge organisation with a massive turnover (as it were!), there's always going to be some bad experiences for some, which the circling media vultures are always ready to pick on.
I can only go on our experiences here in Manc, which have been excellent, a few minor hiccups; but name me one organisation in the world that has a 100% perfection record, can't think of one myself.
And the best bit, it's essentially free! :)

GPs on the other hand, are a different can of worms altogether. Should add them onto Geordie's list!!!
