Sick of 5WWs? Sick of scam schemes? Sick of laughable training providers?

We as fully qualified electricians deserve better. The public deserve better. Get on here, start hitting the like button, share share share and spead the word guys!!!

We are boycotting the schemes, they can shove their ÂŁ500 assessment fees where the sun don't shine! We are the industry, not them, so there's absolutely no need to let these parasitic organisations run around acting on our behalf!

Save our trade!!!

I did. A left wing activist, who hates the Tories with a passion and has an extremist right wing ---- as an avatar (who was hung by piano wire for loving the Fatherland and not his boss?). Well won't take much for a descent QC to destroy his evidence in any cross examination! Just remember you can thank Labour (2 jags at the time I think) for Part P and the scams.

If you can pull off your objective, great. I just don't think you've got a snow ball in hells chance the way you are going about it. Compare your approach to the Fatally Flawed campaign.

Hung by piano wire??

Are you sure??

I can honestly say I have never been trolled, abused, vilified, upset or bullied on fb. It's all about what you actually post on there, some people make the mistake of putting every little detail, including their addresses and phone numbers for all to see. I only use it to talk to my friends, ex neighbours and work colleagues and to see what's going on with people in the far flung corners of my world. I have received more abuse from people on forums.............. :troll:

I did. A left wing activist,

Activist?!? First I've heard of it! lol

who hates the Tories with a passion

Can't deny that!

and has an extremist right wing ---- as an avatar (who was hung by piano wire for loving the Fatherland and not his boss?).

Now you're showing how ill informed you are! Do a little research on Erwin Rommel will you chap before you go running yer mouth!

Well won't take much for a descent QC to destroy his evidence in any cross examination!

How so? Because as an ex tankie myself my idol is arguably the greatest tank general to have ever lived?!?!? Yes, more than enough evidence to destroy my credibility... Sure... You keep thinking that if it helps you sleep at night...

Just remember you can thank Labour (2 jags at the time I think) for Part P and the scams.

You say that as if you think I'm somehow a Labour supporter?! They're crap 'n all! I don't conform with or sympathise with any mainstream political party this country has to offer.

If you can pull off your objective, great. I just don't think you've got a snow ball in hells chance the way you are going about it. Compare your approach to the Fatally Flawed campaign.

Fatally Flawed, as great a campaign as it is, has got nowhere! Because people like you don't bother!

I've done plenty of plugging for the Fatally Flawed campaign via social media, have you?!

Our approach stirs up emotion so far, it gets support, for now. 50 odd likes and over 70 shares in its first day, that aint bad going! Still, I don't do it because I think it will go somewhere, I do it because it is right, and no one else is doing it!

For a minute I thought you were talking about me, I was just about to shake your hand and totally agree with you about your findings of me lol. The only good tory is a dead tory.

I hate hearing and reading about all these nasty, vindictive folk who make others lives a misery - often weak and vulnerable people - on Facebook and that's my gripe with it.

Maybe I'm just old fashioned?
Old school I think is a better term, "if you've got a problem with me lets go a few rounds behind the boozer, not bitch about it on facebook" That's what you mean isn't it? lol

NIC(e) idea, no chance of implementation- as outlined. Reasons:

1) The government sets the rules. The scams were set up under the previous governments Big Brother mentality. You need one to notify building control unless you pay lots of money to notify outside of the scam OR you rely on the local building control to be too busy to really know what to do with what you send them. From a notifying perspective the scams are good value for money- end of, unless you want to go down MCS accreditation (another big brother scheme) which if anyone knows how to cheeper outside of a scam I would love to know…

2)Electrical Trainee domestic installer is here and legal, again thanks to last government and jobs for the masses.

Now what you could campaign for is the domestic installer rules to be applied properly. Basically they were designed to let kitchen fitters hook up a new circuit, a plumber to replace a boiler etc, NOT as a substitute for being a qualified electrician. Where you might get somewhere, and I think the current government is open minded on this, is restricting domestic installers to doing what they are qualified for. This means they MAY NOT
re wire houses
wire new houses
replace CUs
carry out periodic inspections
sign off other peoples work
Carry out commercial work
Carry out Industrial work
Fault find (as an offered service) etc

You also need to get the scam operators to play ball. NIC I believe are the worst. NAPIT don't operate a domestic installer scheme, wonder why there are so many NIC members and why I consider the NIC badge to be less than worthless!
total ---- pots
rollocks
impossible under current acceptance
whats this? fred carney's circus lol
your wrong IMO

its probably more productive if everyone left out their political beliefs for the benefit of trying to make changes to the electrical industry.

and can someone take the coloured crayons off mdj.
;-)

I agree, in fact one person on the committee who seemed most willing to want to change things is Bob Blackman, a Tory MP. In any other debate I'd almost certainly disagree with him, but this isn't about politics, it's about public safety!

Don't think the schemes or part p should be stopped just a higher standard of qualification and experiance is required. Allowing a minimum of the 17th qual is no where near enough. I gave my daughter who was 15 at the time a copy of old exam paper and a quick run through of bs7671 and osg she managed to get 16 out of 20 correct. I personally didn't do an apprenticeship but when to college 11 yrs ago done 2360 part 1&2 work for free with a spark at weekends doing mainly light ind & comercial did 2391 when had some experiance got job fitting aircon and hygine equipment. Done that for 8 yrs then went on my own just doing domestic. I don't want to do ind or commercial so part p it is but I certianly don't want to do a nvq unless someone pays me to do it and feel my quals are adiquate for what I do. Yoy can tell I'm a real spark by my terible speling
