If the Scots want independence they can:

Give us the Nuclear sub base back,
Join the Euro
Have their own Army
Return the English civil servants back south (did you know OVER 50% of Scots are employed by the state)
Create their own BBC

that's for starters

If you get it although personally feel its a massive gamble based on alot of hot air spin of proposed benefits with no solid evidence, but if you do get independence i think it only be right we follow suit on the forum and create a divided section for our Scottish members ;)

i dont want independence because it will prob only benefit the rich as usual , but if that fat to***r salmond could guarantee me that during the next world cup all english commentators plus that tw*t alan hansen would be barred from all Scottish tele then i would consider voting yes

I fear all the dolies will sail us down the river. Then they will say wtf when their dole is cut.
It aint the scottish tax payer that supports them. 440 million quid for a parliament building, where did that come from? Bonkers when you do the population figures.
6 million Scots, 60 million in Englandshire. FFS the population of London is more than Scotland.
Archy, you've got me going.

Boydy

i dont like how people on the dole always get slagged off when our countries are run by scum of the earth bankers , look at royal mail sell off , we got humped again and bankers made millions and ship the doe to banks abroad so they dont have to pay tax , they are the people who are bringing the U.K. down with their unbelievable greed

haha, just thought flashed through my head. independence day. will smith in a kilt, dragging the alien across the desert.

Not for you to decide that Darkwood , it MuSt be Scottish decision

IMHO - Scottish independence should be up for debate by all as it not only effect the Scottish it will effect everyone, we all have the right to voice our concerns or offer support but agree the final decision will be the the Scottish people, but in order for their decision to be balanced they will need to hear all sides of the debate not just the heavily promoted Yes campaign that has more holes in it than a sieve.

I follow politics and watch the on going debates from a neutral perspective and lets just say although at present they are unlikely to get it with the existing poles favouring to remain united but if they did the average Joe Bloggs on the streets of Scotland will be in for a reality check - the sums don't add up and it will see the scottish tax payer fronting the costs ... if your on the operating table the last thing you do is cut the drip keeping you going.

I'm voting yes
Why?
Because Better Together's argument consists of "no we cannae" without giving any figures
I hear NOTHING positive or concrete about their vision for Scotland's future.
Also that...."person" Alistair Darling (he who crashed the HMS UK economy) tries to lecture on economics...bit like asking Heinrich Himmler for a lecture on jewish history.....
Also not having to listen to that smarmy git cameron and his toffee nosed lacky gideon osborne (him born with a platinum spoon in his gob) banging on about "all in this together"......yeah right....
Thats without even getting started about that irritating fool IDS......
Also Prat P can stay south of the border, BC have enough dumb ideas as it stands....

I can assure you that breaking the union up will only make Scotland poorer than Albania and the rest of the UK as it is known now wealthier financially. However that said poorer as a nation and 5 years after separation Scotland will wish it didn't break away.
