i was definitely gonna vote no.now I'm not so sure.

From your comments you appear to have got the Salmond bug
There appears to be a certain arrogance in the yes camp and should the vote go their way there is a belief that all the decisions that will be made over independence will be theirs and theirs alone.
It's strange how Salmond and Sturgeon don't appear to want a complete independence but want to cherry pick bits where they want autonomy and continue to share other bits that would be too costly for an independent Scotland to fund on it's own.
There is nothing to say you can't have the Scottish pound as sterling would not be an option unless the Bank of England allow it
With regard to a lack of capital expenditure in Scotland may be the money was used on giving free prescriptions and whatever else is free north of the border

I have to admit part of me would like to see a yes vote just to see how it all pans out as it would also change the political landscape south of the border as well, how each would fare after independence would be interesting to see, if it went wrong for Scotland what options would they have to rejoin the union

There is a lot of mileage left in the independence debate before the vote and a lot of questions that need answering on both sides before that day and as with all politicians they will be economical with the truth

If the Scots want independence they can:

Give us the Nuclear sub base back,
Join the Euro
Have their own Army
Return the English civil servants back south (did you know OVER 50% of Scots are employed by the state)
Create their own BBC

If you get it although personally feel its a massive gamble based on alot of hot air spin of proposed benefits with no solid evidence, but if you do get independence i think it only be right we follow suit on the forum and create a divided section for our Scottish members

I'm voting yes. Will it work? possibly, possibly not, but I'm a romantic. Where we live the English system has no relation/parity on our day to day lives.

As I understand it the vote is a yes/no for independence. If it goes the yes way there is no guarantee that AS will be running the country?

BTW the people are Scots. Scotch comes in a bottle and if you're lucky it ain't blended ****

Yup, most of it is and they want to keep the UK bits - which isn't tenable. As for over 50% of the employees working for the state, is Salmond advocating Comuminisum

I don't, in fact I don't hate anyone, hatred is a strong word and we would all be much better off if you Scots behaved like Human beings and not the P*ss heads of europe, what happened 700 years ago needs to be forgotten and you need to move on. I once read somewhere that if scotland gets independence than they will no longer need to hate the English and will start to hate someone else.
