hi all new to the forum got a call from someone earlier today asking if i can put a socket in a toilet for his washing machine for him

my question is

is it legal?

Wouldn't it get a bit wet when u flushed :D

Seriously though, if it doesn't contain a bath or shower then there's no reason why not.

Although I can't see why anyone would want their washing machine in the toilet. Talk about multi-tasking :D

P.S. Welcome to the foums :)

thanks for the quick replys guys have not been to look at the job yet so dont know how big the washing machine or the toilet (AREA ;) ) is was just wondering whether it was legal or not to put one in the toilet (AREA ;) )

Sounds a bit like my earlier query...cant see a problem with it,its not a special location..just make sure its RCD protected..suppose its something to put yr feet on when yr on the pot!

You could remove the toilet and go in the washing machine, although the flushing cycle may take an hour or so.
