Is there regulation that says connector blocks can not be used to join cables inside a DB?

When a neutral is joined at a light switch the connector block doesn't have to be fixed. Same principle in a DB is it not? Daz
Is that after eating the beans in the kitchen?
What's wrong with screw terminals connector blocks in a DB?? The whole thing is a box full of screw terminals anyway ! Daz

looks naff though. i use butt crimps or line push in butt connectors.
What are these connectors that you push in your butt??
This is my point. I'm sure it has somewhere that screw connections have to be fixed. Again I might be mistaken.
I think the reg is that all junction boxes be it adaptable/standard/ jb chocbox etc need to be fixed so as not to place stress on the cable/joints that may then work loose overtime I am pretty sure that is a regultion.
perhaps it refers to these....

they look like they may be highly resistive mind....
just dont try measuring across them in amps...or it`l all go bang.....But working in parallel with the large bowel they'll lower the overall resistance of the system, thereby relieving any increased back pressure and increasing flow!
open connector joints are not allowed as they dont have a suitable fault current rating, and it is a C2 fault.
