Is there regulation that says connector blocks can not be used to join cables inside a DB?

open connector joints are not allowed as they dont have a suitable fault current rating, and it is a C2 fault.

But working in parallel with the large bowel they'll lower the overall resistance of the system, thereby relieving any increased back pressure and increasing flow!
If we can't use connectors, how the hell am I supposed to connect my fan to the shower feed?
Can they take 2x 0.75mm flexes?
