SWA, hacksaw or cutters?.

Quick question do you use hacksaw or cutters like in this diy wiki Terminating SWA - DIYWiki I was taught to use hacksaw as cutters does something bad but can't remember what the something bad was.

I think I could do a neater job with cutters?.

and don't forget. if there is a bend close to the gland, bend it first before stripping or you will get all the armour strands different lengths

i like new gizmos so i got one of those new yellow cutters.[bit like a plumbers pipe cutter] tried to use it utter crap.sold it on e bay to some poor mug like me ..
stick to the junior hackey and stans blad no worries.

Hacksaw and stanley knife every single time.

Cutters will simply bend the tines, and you will end up with problems glanding the cable.
