Need to explain the client is woman. French woman who do not know regulation and was scared by somebody who is "boring electrician with no work". I am pretty sure the client is fine. Just scared... I expect more problems :/ I am going to take "Electrician Handbook" with me...

Being a woman is irrelevant, but being french she'll likely raise the white flag quite sharpish!

Sorry for my ignorance but what is 'electrician handbook'?

as your in Scotland did the work done require a building warrant , if so are you a registered installer or did you apply to local authority before the work was done.

did you apply to local authority before the work was done.
I did. Is not a part of my question.heck your work?

Handbook I am going to take, cos I am wondering other "questions". Did you met before situation, when client taking other to double check your work? What is your experience?

On one hand, agreed price is the agreed price, in my book. No need to take a bath. On the other hand i am so confused by your posts, that i am not surprised you have encountered an issue over a written agreement

Blimey, I am asking you what the 'electrician handbook' to which you refer is! I am not familliar with this publication and would like to know about it. Can I make the question any simpler.

my point is you can charge what the hell you like for whatever you like as long as both parties have agreed and work done to a satisfactory standard.
i think prostitution is still ilegal though

£150 as a part of quotation, but I was putting cost of whole labour in different areas. Suma sumarum I spent there 5 days instead of 3planned days so this job was undervaluated by me anyway.

Afraid neither one of above mentioned.

She said its illegal to charge for that.
And you are trying to tell us you didn't underprice anything?
I totally agree that your price is the agreed price and she should pay it though.
why did you not give a quotation for x£ ?or labour x£ material x£ ?rather than split it up and trying to lose hours against items.if an item is £15 put it as £15 not £150
how many circuits did you issue certification for?
the client may be a woman but she isn't daft.
it might be her brother or dad who is the spark rather than a "boring electrician with no work "and anyone worth their salt will see ,say 2 circuits on a minor works for £150 and tell you to bolt
afraid this one will be a harsh lesson for you

i have put down certification on a quote but say included in price, as if certification required then it's not an option its incuded on your labour charge for the job.
if it is a relative sparky then it might sound like your takin the wee wee but legaly it don't sound too bad if you explain the costs and time writting out a cert and testing ink stationary internet connection. if other companies can charge 50 quid for sending you a letter why can't you.
