I disagree but respect your views

Ok whats the difference between laptop/low power cpus?

Desktop versions I would agree.

Nearly all core i3, i5 and i7 for mobile are dual cores.

There is very little difference between them other than clockspeed as most of the other differences are irrevilant for most users

I have a view, I feel is right via experience as a webmaster, try reading about the differences between them on a PC forum, TBH i am now bored trying to continue to reply to your posts, every time someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they are trying to give you a hard time, we have differing opinions, Biff is intelligent enough to decide himself after reading all our posts here.

Biff is intelligent

:)

Intel chips are generally the way to go these days.

Amd are cheaper but not up to the standards of intel.

TBF the last time I used an AMD chip it was the Opteron that overclocked like...... and it was as cheap as chips.

Since then Intel have very definitely ruled the roost.

If you look after your kit then buy the best you can afford.
It will / should last you for years with minimal upgrades.

However if you handle your kit like Cleatus the Llama farmer then buy a cheapy netbook and hope for the best :)
