Just thought id put this one up for all those faults we find.
heres one to kick it off !
Domestic RCD tripped and wouldnt reset cause was a blown low energy light bulb.
There you go now for yours !

Had to isolate a lighting cct fed from this CU



Looked that bad outside, thought I'd have a look inside, obviously run out of earth sleeving!

I guarantee all that needed was the screws slackened off and all re-alligned, lazy sods

I think it had been swiped by a fork truck, all the MCB's were damaged.

Meticulous labelling. Makes it so easy to find the circuit you need. (actually two are labelled (wrong way round), in felt-tip, bottom right)

For the time it takes to make it look tidy why the hell do people leave things like this! I would be embarassed to leave an abomination like that

As soon as someone removes the wire way covers and don't re-fit them, it always ends up looking the mess you show here

Do those feeder cables/tails have any protection through the DB caseing ?? I can't quite make out too well if those coloured cables are going through separate holes or a slot entry, either way it doesn't look like any protection has been afforded here either!! lol!!

I think they're in a slot, but I can't remember about the protection. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no grommets.

SWA for outside lights 'buried' about two inches below the ground, and under a tarmac driveway, where at least it is sleeved in water pipe! And yes, that is the armouring you can see.

Seem that before, just the worst idea ever, "we will just bury it a bit". And under a driveway, very rare there is any ground movement there!
