Testing domestic property.

Hi can any one please tell me how much of a domestic property needs to be testes to comply with current regulations?

Thank you guys for showing interest in my original post... I did reply Friday evening but for some reason it never quite made it!! Unfortunately I have limited access to internet at the moment so aren't able to get on here as often as you lot.
I was given a job sheet to carry out an EICR on a rented property which was due to be let. I wanted to know if the regs give an allowed percentage of a final circuit to be tested and under what circumstances. For instance.. A kitchen ring made up of 7 sockets and 5 spurs some if which are hard to get to. I carry out my end to end and insulation testing at the fuse board but then need to obtain my R1+R2 reading. Do I need to test every outlet including all spurs or does the regs give an allows percentage to be tested? Same with lighting... Do I need to take down every light and undo every light switch to test and inspect?
Me thinks your supervisor is the best person to ask then.
