...should it go like america?....where you aint allowed to do anything to your OWN property?.....is that what you want here..?....
and why cant you do electrical work within your own home/house?....and even if you aint part urine registered.....a lot of work aint even notifyable anyway....well technically we have,im not part p so i cant do electrical work in my own house..but some Electrical Trainee can..i do and they wont but we have that situation now..
or barbecued it..lollWhat angle to you go in with, B&Q have "You can do it when you B&Q it", do you have something like "I can fix it when you have B&Q'ed it"

I don't have to deal with Part P here in NI...I was under the impression its a legal requirement to have works that are notifiable notified, and it would be possible that problems could arise potentially if/when you come to sell your home. I doubt it will be but some mortgage lenders are after Periodic Inspections now before lending the money.if i did any notifiable work you need part p,like changing a cu which ive done,id like to think im competent but in theory im breaching a building reg am i not? i dont do domestic so im not paying anything just to work in my own house..

well this is the issue with proper competent persons in every sense of the word..playing second fiddle to a 5 week wonder....just because he/she has dumped some cash in the direction of a scheme provider.....but arn`t even competent to wire a plugtop up right...and it stinks really....if i did any notifiable work you need part p,like changing a cu which ive done,id like to think im competent but in theory im breaching a building reg am i not? i dont do domestic so im not paying anything just to work in my own house..
we were at a house yesterday afternoon.....just round the corner from paulm.....had to redo a couple of plugtops that someone had `wired`..lol....ask paul...he took a pic of one of em before i made it off again...lol... i sent a email to a landlord other week regaring a Electrical Trainee and some of his work...!!
went to town on the job as well and issued EDN and quoted no less than 7 regulation breeches!
