I stood up to a bully once. When I was a nipper he was laying into me verbally all the time and I had no experience of work so wasn't to know any better but sort of thought "somethings not right here", so asked someone that worked near us for the week to independantly "monitor" his behaviour.

after a week they said " hes welll out of order".

so thought about it over the weekend. HR? Go straight to boss?

nope.

waited for him to come to the portakabin monday and before he could take his coat off I asked him to "step outside"

"wuh wuh wuh wuh what for"

"you'll find out outside"

so asked if he had a problem with me

"no why"

so spilled the beans, told him he'd been monitored over the week and independantly verified as a prize muppet, he never bothered me again. No one else involved, no bosses, no messing about with HR.

Tanna, maybe if you took it seriously and didn't call it a game then you would be getting more work. Its not a game to me, its a proper serious job, games are for playing and having fun and picking up every now and then.
