That is very true Adam W. The reason why they dont do it now is because of all the house fires they caused and that is why the installation of electricity became a trade of its own.


Things an electrician/carpenter would not say circa 1900:- Not a problem running this new electricity stuff in your mansion sir, we just nail bare conductors to the wood inside your walls and hope that it doesn't burn your house down.

This is my favourite why do plumbers get away with charging so much?
The other day a customer had a plumber out and they charged £60 an hour

Self employed job......my client assures us that the job will meet at least minimum wage levels!!!
