My college course required me to do this. Any thoughts?

FP200 has a bend in due to the position if the gland.

Why do they expect you to do that?

surely asking you to dress in cables neatly and correctly terminated would be a lot better?

Was part of a unit 306. Had two particles and 3 assignments. Assignments still to do but they wanted us to show how to terminate the cables. My inexperience with DB's really did show and to be fair in the picture still does.

Any of the fittings like stuffing glands were just handed to us and told where it needed to be.

The test brought a real insight into how MI and SWA is a little harder to use when you've no experience.

By all means if theres anything else someone is willing to add carry on. Cant get worse as to what i thought of the finish article.

That exercise is part of the C&G 2357 Level 3 course for apprentices.
It is solely a cable termination exercise.
Can you provide a photo with the covers removed?
That will show what you were marked on.
That is the purpose of the assessment, not how pretty the cable looks on a piece of plywood.

I can but it wasnt pretty!
Probably have a few more soul destroying comments. But if you wish.

Please remember i have no clue on how these usually look until after the marking was done.

Poult that ain't too bad.
i always leave some slack in the board and dress it nicely so that if the mcb's need moving at a later stage there is enough length to do so.

Oooooo. No protective caps on busbar of spare ways.

Looks ok otherwise. Yea more slack on cables would be nice but hey....ive seen a hell of a lot worse.
Ive seen a brand new install where they do the db like a piece of art....they pigtailed every cable on one....what a mess. Was rcbo's so not as much room as usual. No idea how long they spent curling the 25mm mains, or the 10mm!!!

Took a lot of swearing to get the cover back on.
