Time to boycot Ford Transits

So Ford are closing the "home" of the transit and moving assembly to Turkey.

Should us traders not boycot the Transit?

i would not buy a transit, to many get nicked around my way
Life moves on, if skilled workers from another country can do the same for less then owners will always look after themselves and share holders
Turkey has no pensions red tape etc etc and a work force that will work so that is how the world turns
I wish we could all get a pay rise every year or add inflation to my hourly rate but in the end someone will always do it cheaper (maybe not as good but thats life)

I can't buy a van as I can't get insured on one, harming my and boss's business, thank you Uk insurances for helping me contribute to economy

Some transits have been made in turkey for years, was on a tech clinic when I was working for a ford dealer, we had two employees from the turkish factory with us.
this was in 2005 I think.

The lass has a Zavira, or something.
It's completely useless. You feel like you're going to die if you go round a corner more than 23mph!

Now my bog standard Focus Zetec estate, can have a bit of fun in that.
(I can imagine all the petrol heads p!ssing themselves now )

I had an astravan and admit it was a nice vehicle, almost a car quality in the cab, but no room for kit in the back and the vivaro isn't up to much IMO, the ford is better even though you need ear plugs if the radio isn't on to stop the noise from the engine through the gear stick lol.

I think all my vans are great till they break, then they become a damn pain. More gadgets leads to more problems IMO, the most reliable van I ever owned was an old Maestro it cost peanuts and never went wrong. The only thing was it had no sterio so we had to sing all the way to work hi ho hi ho its off to work we go...............

Seriously though we should support British products, shouldn't we?

yeah the newer vauxhalls are pretty lardy.

yeah that is exactly what I was told when I took it back after a week due to the noise, to be fair I am used to it now, the amount of kit I can get into it is great and it looks good, but bloody hell it can be noisy without the radio on.
