lynj

one thing to say and that is did c&g forget how to be staightforward? felt like some of the questions were half thought......

anyone else take it?

Completely buggered up the q.26 i worked out the safe touch voltage came out with 500ma like others, left and realised like many it was a special location on additional protection so 30ma :-(

Not Sockets
So you are correct about 500mA

What did you guys put for the three practical considerations before a periodic? ... And where the hell was the 1 over rt banker question!

Myself,

Put down disruption to the office area so work to be carried out of hours.
Disruption to the shop which could cause loss of trade so work carried out of hours again.
Inconvience working in the toilet/shower blocks so only carrying work out on one block at a time.

I can't remember what Q26 asked now, I definately put 30mA because it was for additional protection. Then the test procedure was quite a few marks so must have included 5 X IAn as someone said earlier then the last part of the Q quoted the max disconnection time of a TT as 0.2s so I said the BSEN should be replaced with a BS to match the 200ms max permitted disconnection time. Well you don't have to get them all right do you lol

Thought that the wording of questions throughout was atrocious. Re the SWA cable - don't remember them asking only to test the cable, although the wording was crap, but they did ask for details of circuit preparation which I took to mean that they wanted the whole thing tested. For a 2 1/2 hr written exam you don't really need confusing questions.

Well I felt terrible about this exam till I read half these posts, seems everyone found it confusing! Can anyone remember what they put for 21a? I think it was asking what documentation would be provided and what it would be provided for. I took this to mean electrical installation certificate for new circuit, periodic inspection report for installation testing, am I on the wrong lines cos I did have to read it a few times!
