Thanks guys I'm going there tomorrow to start tracking down the fault.
Yes the CU I have fitted is a screwfix supplied Wylex.
Could be a nail as there is working going on at the house

RCD tripping only when high draw device and lighting ring is on.
My guess is an earth to N fault in the damaged light fitting. This will become a problem when other devices draw large currents.
