What is the CSA of the SWA conductors? Don't see any real issue in it being 2 core, just needs glanded off properly.

What size of MCB is protecting the SWA?
 
No issues at all D80 but metal to metal joints with ring/locknuts could break down in time if in a damp situation.
The 3rd copper core won't.

i've been on a couple of breakdowns where water has penetrated into a conduit box and rotted through copper conductors. the steel armour was intact in both cases.
 
I've done the 2391 thought it wasnt too bad just didn't click about 2 rcds in series not something mentioned just need more experience. Not learnt anything about surge protection either yet.

Watchers dropped off abit so probably crack back on when its picked up.

That's where a qualification is only worth having when backed up with years of experience.

I assume said contractor is part of a Part P scheme (NICEIC, Napit, few others..) in which case complain to them. They'll investigate (in theory)...
