Hi all
Very new to the forum, but need some desperate advice!

i have just finished my time, around three months ago and went straight onto my 2391 course. I am due to receive these results at the start of next month

I am soon to have a meeting with my boss, but very unsure on what i should be asking for? I really need to know what an approved electrician(inspection and testing qualified) earns annually or daily

I would be grateful if someone could help me on this subject

Hope to hear from anyone soon

your times just out so dont expect "Approved" wages just yet around ÂŁ11ph wages are actualy dropping due to there being guys HAVING to take whats offered within reason Best of luck in your quest

go by jib rates mate but if you are a grafter and depending on type of work may possibly be beneficial to you to operate on pricework basis but you need to know what he is charging, how long he has got you down to do it and if you complete it quicker means more money but ask him to make you an offer first of all then check everything out and see whats going to pay you more money

your classed as approved 2 years after you have registered your JIB card, Im qualified to techician level and told that cant be approved on card as never had need for JIb card until recently

your not from a jib status and companies Id worked for took my qualifications at face value and paid me going rates applicable to jib rates although I was on pricework so ended up getting more than my rate but officially its only about ÂŁ40 to join jib and theres a load of benefits with it too, you will not be classed as approved but if youve worked for 2 years as electrician and have onc you are classed as technician, if youve worked 2 years as electrician classed as approved but worthwhile having and if your doing work for yourself means people can see your qualifications without hassling anyone
