Wago Connectors?

How many of you guys use wago clips and are they any good?

Is these considered as a professional consumeble products, or are they just a DIY gimmik?

I was doing some remmedial work on a new build recently and these things where everywhere you looked.
I had to remove a few in order to do my bit of remmedial work, had a little fiddle around with some of them but ended up getting fustrated with them and throwing them away. Just that I was thinking about buying a set of them and having another go with new ones, but if they are no good for anyone then I might not bother - Your input please??

Brought myself a installer pack from screwfix a while back after reading loads about em, Now think they are fab
Soooo much easier for making awkward connections in a small space!

As for them being untrustworthy ide say not, I pushed some cable into a push in one and yanked the hell out of it.
It wasnt budging for toffee!
But yes a gentle twisting and pulling motion will allow them to come out with ease

Been using them for yonks, best idea since whenever. Neat, tidy, small, quick, safe ( don't forget to degrade when hidden) re-useable, ideal for temp connections. I love them.

Pah!!! ............. Plastic Chinese crap!!

You can't beat a properly soldered joint insulated with a couple of layers of heat shrink followed by a good wrapping of silver Gaffer Tape- just to make it aesthetically pleasing.

The push in ones, you can remove a wire by twisting back & forth, and you can reuse the connector. The lever ones you just open the levers to remove wires, and reuse. Agree with Tel, at first I was a bit sceptical, now I can't manage without them.

I never knew you could twist em! Tried it after reading this, amazing! Now I'm cursing all the times I've cut off 2 or 4 pole push one and chucked em!

I would keep the ones you have removed cables from for temporary connections. Removing the cable in this way is not what the connectors were designed for, and I would not have faith enough that the internals were not stressed or damaged by this action to use them in a permanent joint.

I know what you mean, but it is detailed in the manufacturers instructions as the correct method for removing them

Wow, that surprises me. When I figured out I could remove them with a twist and a pull I expected the internals to be knackered. they weren't, but I still thought it a bit rough to reuse it. It's acting against the direction of the trapping blade and I just expect it to damage or at least stress them.
I'll still just use new ones for permanent connections I think.

Its the same for push in connections on ballasts etc.
The only way to remove them is twist and pull.
It will probably wear them eventually but i bet you get tired before they do!!
