I did a 6 inch core drill through a concrete floor.
didnt want to destroy my drill (too small for such a large hole) so I bought the heavy duty sds from the cheepo range at screwfix.
think it was called Titan or something similar.
when i got half way through, it started making some funny noises and then caught fire in my hands.
returned it to screwfix, 10 min up road. they gave me a new one.
finished the hole just as the smoke was starting to leak out of the new one.
returned it for a refund.

Makita not even mentioned once!
I've got all makita and it has never let me down. The only down side is that most other trades have it too, so you have to mark all of yours in some way.
I have just bought the Milwaukee fuel impact driver and drill. Both are ridiculously powerful and just feel really good quality. I shall probably slowly d rift over to Milwaukee each time I need to replace something
Copycat!!

I have a 230V Makita oscillating tool, bought in preference to Bosch because it uses 'standard' fitment blades. Seems reliable and well made.
A mate of mine has Makita stuff, which I've used occasionally. Never had any trouble with it, but it all feels a bit 'delicate' compared to my Bosch stuff.

Own mainly De Walt and had Makita at place I used to work.
Both very similar in performance and quality.

Also used Milwaukee and think it is a very slight step up in quality but not sure it is worth the price difference unless you can find a very good deal

Ultimate are Hilti virtually bombproof but definitely expensive
