Local MKM builders had a DeWalt stall on Friday, and all I bought was some screwdriver bits. Can never have enough screwdriver bits!

Came in little tough cases, lots of torq and pz of the same sizes… masonry drills, but holders….

And this thing….
Some sort of bit holder… magnetic, but so is the other one…. This one has a sliding collar.
I can’t figure out it’s function.

Utterly confused.

One of those sleeved driver bits has been in my impact driver since I first bought one several years ago, they are great for up to no8 screws save so much pain😀
The only time it's changed for a long bit is when it's too fat to get in the fixing hole (like isolators where the fixings is in a deep recess)
I wouldn't go back to a normal bit holder!

Particularly useful for removing slot headed screws. The sleeve keeps the driver bit directly over the screw head, preventing it from sliding sideways out. Pity they don't seem to last very long, but then, only a couple of quid so worth having.

The sleeved bit does get full of dross and tend to seize up especially when doing a lot of overhead work as it all falls in the sleeve bit. Good blast with an air line usually sorts them out again for a while!

Absolutely correct they hold water, shrouds are totally unnecessary. 20s is 24mm spanner, 20 large is 30mm spanner.
