A clothing factory when I was about 6 weeks into my apprenticeship had me terrified. Hordes of older women sexually harrassing me, they'd wait until I had my hands full and grab bits of me. We were there for weeks too, bloody harpies the lot of them.
I wouldn't have minded had they been my own age, or pretty but every last one of them was a munter almost old enough to be my grandmother.

Actually laughing my head off.

Trev, is that the best you can do, I was expecting you to say something like you nearly fell into a vat of hot oil in the Philease Fogg crisp factory, isn't that out your way somewhere in Consett? I am sure I drove past it in the late 80's early 90's maybe getting all excited.

It wasn't funny! You know the old films you see about the French revolution where there's toothless old hags sitting round the guillotine laughing at people being executed?
Well that was what it was like, horrible old women making offers I'd much rather forget. I'm surprised I still don't get nightmares

PMSL is this the voice of experience Glenn ?????
i had a keen eye...once upon a time....

you could go shoppin with your mam...pretend you liked the stuff she was picking for you.....but what you were really doing.....

suppose its a bit like the PAT scenario isn`t it...in the office....where the telegirls sit....

"oh..i`v just got to get them IEC leads...their under the table love...but you carry on"........

Yes it's in Consett, a fair way away from me but I did some work in a factory out there that made bits of wings for Airbuses a couple of years ago

I think its funny. Although I keep talking to electricians not on here who have some really bad experiences with women when in houses. I was a bit like half laughing half like omg thats really awkward!!! Its bad really as women can b just as bad as men but men get hunted down and women cry and get away with it buggers haha. Any women coming onto me and they may get a swift back hander with my knipex unless there hot hahaha (not likely)

Funny you should swa about planes, I changed a couple of lights in a factory the other day round here, you know the big rubber door seals on planes and the rubber window seals, well this company make the moods that the rubber seals are made in, they CNC them, then another company do the rubber bit.

They said there's far too much legislation etc making the actual bits for the planes so they just stick to to the tooling, apparently there's only 4 companies in the uk that make the molds. He drowned me round the place, it was quite interesting, as was the mess of the wiring.

I could find the breaker to switch off his office lights, despite putting an mcb finder on it, no such joy.

I had e-on out the other month for a customer to change their meter etc and this 50 odd year old lady turned up. I'll be honest, I was not expecting a woman, but she was so nice and friendly and not cocky and full of it like most of the blokes, it made a nice change.

Funny if joking but these women im talking about were being very serious and making the lads very uncomfortable due to them probably not being there type and um well obviously feeling quite awkward and trapped. Thats why womens houses can be a dangerous place to work ha.

I don't think anyone on here is going to say it needs replacing, some may even argue that it's not even a c3.
