it should have been one or the other, ffs buy a roll of black to match the red, you can use the left over black on a three phase circuit in the new colours.Considering there was a period where old colours could be used up I don't see a problem with it
And if the wholesalers had sold out of black singles?it should have been one or the other, ffs buy a roll of black to match the red, you can use the left over black on a three phase circuit in the new colours.

I stand correctedThe regs at the time stated that you could use either colour scheme, but you weren't allowed to mix them up.
you drive round to the next one, i get the feeling you might have done this before, we're you in the RAF before? because mixing colours on same circuit is rough as fu...........And if the wholesalers had sold out of black singles?
Have you seen any of my work pal? Several people on here have so don't throw accusations like that around because it annoys people.you drive round to the next one, i get the feeling you might have done this before, we're you in the RAF before? because mixing colours on same circuit is rough as fu...........

well then why were you defending itHave you seen any of my work pal? Several people on here have so don't throw accusations like that around because it annoys people. Fyi, no I haven't done this nor would I have ever even considered it
put it this way Dill...So you would rewire a whole circuit if you needed to alter it if it was wired in the old colours?
would you have a red live and a blue neutral at an accessory, persoally i wouldn't rewire whole circuit i'd sleeve the new brown to red to keep it as old coloursSo you would rewire a whole circuit if you needed to alter it if it was wired in the old colours?
How the hell was I defending it? What I said (wrongly as I've accepted) was that I didn't see a problem with it.well then why were you defending it
fair enough, i meant the practice of mixing colours is rough, i thought you were defending the practice and wrongly assumed you mixed colours, no point in antagonising you any more, your correct i will never see your work, and you'll never see mine, i'm sorry if i riled youHow the hell was I defending it? What I said (wrongly as I've accepted) was that I didn't see a problem with it. There's such a thing as responding to a post in the interests of sparking a discussion, I seriously don't appreciate the accusation of roughness from someone who has never and probably never will take a look at any of the work I've turned out in the last 35 years
Storm in a tea cup mate.fair enough, i meant the practice of mixing colours is rough, i thought you were defending the practice and wrongly assumed you mixed colours, no point in antagonising you any more, your correct i will never see your work, and you'll never see mine, i'm sorry if i riled you
