Hi,

I am splitting the consumer unit to add 2off 63A RCD's.
What is the L+N cable size from the main 100A isolator to each RCD?

Tony

depends on the load that the RCDs are feeding. 10mm or 16mm at a guess. think you'll need henleys.

The board is in a 3 bed semi, single phase.
The usual
up lights
down lights
cooker
boiler
garage
alarm
kitchen

Why henleys, the RCD's just go on the buss bar!

Tony

ah, your OP wasn't clear. you didn't say you were fitting RCds inside the CU. the tails in a CU are generally 16mm tri-rated cable.

you'll need the flexibility of tri-rated cable. crimps on the ends as well.

10 posts and your splitting a consumer unit plus you are asking a question that you should know the answer for so can I ask what skill level if any you are at ?

Wonder if we will get a reply
