Hi just a quick one Iv wired ovens ups few times but never wired a hob and oven seperate, so just want to check obv size depending is it for example 6mm from isolator to hob? Then take your oven off the ring in kitchen or poss pull on it's own 4mm radial on 20amp

Cooker is
Rated electrical power: 2.16 kW
Power supply: 9.5 A

Hob Rated electrical power: 2.8/3.5/6/7.2 kW
Power supply required: 13/16/25/32 A

They are different ends of the kitchen

So supply each of the appliances with a supply appropriate to the rated current, following your cable calculations and reference to the manufacturers information. I would pay particular attention to the information provided with the hob if I were you.

Yes that is basically what I'm asking, what size breaker and cable do you suggest? Is the oven ok on 2.5/4mm radial on 20amp breaker snd the hob 32 on 6mm via isolator

If you can't read the manufacturer's instructions and carry out cable calcs to determine the sizes of cables and breakers then I'm afraid I'm not able to help you any more.

hob should be on it's own dedicated curcuit. you to work out the cable size and OCPD as appropriate. oven can be on the same circuit or can be on it's own radial , or even plugged into the RFC if said oven comes with a fitted 1363 plug top. all down to you to decide what's compliant and cost effective, taking MI into account.

IF you are an electrician you should know.

If you're not then call one to do the job for you.

That is all.

7/10 for grumpiness, but you ain't never going to steal ton'ys title. :49:

Andy78 not one bit helpful in anyway, all I am after is some advice Iv not wired a oven and a hob seperate before and because you are expierenced you try and talk down on younger less expierenced

I'm sorry mate but you either are competent to do this or you are not. If you are competent you should know how to carry this very basic task out.. experience has nothing to do with this particular one.
If you feel I'm talking down to you then that is not the intention and I'm sorry you have inferred my comment that way, but to aid someone who possibly should not be carrying out work beyond their capabilities is not the aim of the forum and certainly not my personal choice. If you expected the info on a plate and a wire by numbers drawing you are in the wrong place.

Just run a 6mm to the Cooker via a 2 pole 45a switch. Then take 2 legs of 6mm out. One to cooker outlet and one to a socket for the hob. Wack it on an 32a breaker. But make sure you calcs support this method. If it's a normal household cooker it should be fine. But check first
