Hi just a quick one Iv wired ovens ups few times but never wired a hob and oven seperate, so just want to check obv size depending is it for example 6mm from isolator to hob? Then take your oven off the ring in kitchen or poss pull on it's own 4mm radial on 20amp

Not to be confused with a consumer's control unit (i.e. a busbar or panel board assembly managing the distribution within an installation)

Or even a ''Cooker Control Unit'' which in my day is what the 45A cooker switches were called!! lol!!
On that note i was surprised to find that MK still make those big old style cooker switches, i had to replace one for a friend in Cyprus. ...Bloody expensive mind!! lol!

The huge things the size of a notebook ? I think I have one kicking about in the shed....

Jesusssss and Mary!! ........... The time this has been going on I could have run a nice shiny 15mm copper gas pipe in and fitted a nice new shiny gas hob, wired the oven on the leccy and had it all up & running cooking a Sunday dinner.

I always suggest splitting the fuel so one gas and one electric... although Id always recommend electric hob and gas oven as this reduces the risks of accidental fires by a large margin (mainly caused by people forgetting they are cooking their tea).... especially with the elderly and if they can afford the induction option then additional rsik reduction :)

I like it the other round - gas hob & electric oven - cos you can make nicer cakes in an electric oven.
