Just another rant.. was put with a new bloke last week. To say the least it's doing my head in. Don't want to drop the fella in it but it's coming to the point where I might have to have a quiet word. I would honestly rather work on my own. I get more done. Don't get me wrong I like banter. But work and talk or set a target and smash it then relax and have a chat. This guy can talk forever. Don't think I've seen him open his tool bag yet. Anyone else work with a Wally?

To the OP, don't moan about it on a forum be proactive and stop mincing, tell the fcukwit to shut it and to get on with his work.

My girlfriend does tell me that I can be confrontational and abrasive and rub people up the wrong way. I just tell her it gets things done and if they don't like it they can F Off.

Oh and the tallow wasn't to be used for washing purposes.............. get the drift.

Fresh start tomorrow. I'm armed with ear plugs. A can of Linx spray. (Hot and sweaty here) the antagonist doesn't believe in using spray only soap.

You have my sympathies. I've had the displeasure of working with a couple of people who had a similar affliction, admittedly it was in office jobs but still, when they've got sweat patches the size of pancakes at 9am you know you're in for a nasally challenging time. It seems it's one of those things that particularly challenging to deal with... I used to get in trouble for offending people with a rant but the stinkies carried on unchallenged so as to not offend them!

As the TV advert says they must be Nose blind. Yes it's very off putting when you are bent over doing a CU change and Mr or Mrs Stinky come in to give you a hand,
Can you imagin the combined odour from those two?

I had a fella work for me once, was a cracking bloke, trust worthy, hard working and tidy. But my god could he talk! it was relentless babble from dawn till dusk. It actually just became background noise to me :D. At the start of any new job he would babble continuously to the customer until they had his full life story, financial status, marital status, inside leg measurement..... you get the drift.
I tolerated it because he was a good employee (and didn't stink). I really can't stand B.O!

Know how you feel David, people in our trade, are bound to sweat, including the Lady members, although to be fair they don't sweat, they glow, sorry SC no offence meant. Nothing more off putting that sweating your cobblers off one day and pick up your work mate only to find the stinky git hasn't had a shower, driving in the winter with the heater on doesn't help as well.

LOL! None taken. If you're working hard you sweat, and at the end of the day you're probably going to stink, end of. I know there are some ladies that live in this fantasy unicorn world where they would have you believe we, women, sweat Chanel No. 5 and poop rose petals, but I suspect the hardest thing a lot of those snowflakes do is worry about breaking a nail while waggling their head around trying to get the perfect selfie.

The work I've done recently in Risca, some of the hottest days of the year and some of the dirtiest. Sweating, stinking and of course then all the dust sticks to you. Dam fine excuse for a good soak in the bath I say :D

You should not talk about Risca in that tone SC
If you happen to get some work further up in one of the valleys, you will no doubt remember fondly about the good old days of clean conditions working in Risca :)

When I was working doing data cabling in the City and had a weekend job for 2 men I would always ask the office for a certain bloke and people would always wonder why. He like me was a sparks, if I said to be on site a 08:00 he'd be there at 07:55 waiting for me on the Saturday or a Sunday, the other fu*ckwits would usually have a hangover and would want to sit in the cafe till 09:00 and drag the job out but we'd bash the job out full on no breaks job a knock and go home at about 13:00.

He also understood the fact that the company paid double time and for a weekend we'd book 36 hours, those where the good ole days and he appreciated the fact that I always asked for him.

I'm going to hijack this thread cause it something similar. Considering jacking my job in tomorrow cause I am getting sick of chasing round following people putting substandard work right. Completely had enough. I also work with a useless apprentice who I feel like ----ting every morning.

I don't think anyone on here is going to say it needs replacing, some may even argue that it's not even a c3.
