Just bought a pair of these, they seem very well made and cut with ease. Nice and comfortable as well.

Just posting up incase anyone is after new sidecutters, these are well worth a look.

One thing i have realised is they do not carry the VDE mark on them. the model below does however.... and they are the same design and name etc. I wonder if the insulation varies between them much.

Have a look at their cable cutters, brilliant piece of kit, will cut 25mm tails without any problems. Have to be on the ball if the kids are sniffing round the tool bag as they'll do themselves some damage if not careful.
 
They do a 160mm pair and a 210mm pair. The 210mm are brilliant, there are some good deals round because they have just changed the handle design. The old colours are a lot cheaper.

how often will you need to use it? Would renting one from a tool hire place be more cost effictive... and might give you an idea of good brands...

Absolutely correct they hold water, shrouds are totally unnecessary. 20s is 24mm spanner, 20 large is 30mm spanner.
