    Part P? Are we all being misled?

    Do away with Part P!,and register all who passes C&G 2391 to certify electrical work,after all the 2391 is the hardest of all exams and surely proves your competency to carry out and test/certificate electrical work.(and BTW i sit mine in august)

    BS 3871 might not be recognised in BS 7671-17th ,But so are other things. BS 7671 is mainly concerned with the Domestic side of things.There are still a lot of BS 3871 around, mainly in commercial/industrial installations(we test a lot of em),there's absolutely no reason to code them as!

    Definately an EIC, as you change the CU you (could) change the circuit characteristics (ie BS3036 to BS 60898),which will give you diverent permissable Max Zs etc...

    Testing RCD on shower circuit

    RCD operation needs to be verified and tested on every separate circuit.You can test it by using your probes on the relevant connections on the shower unit.

    Yes , Humidity in CRT used to be a common problem when i used to run a repair service.
