    I will have to learn how to use a computer properly this has seriousley ballsed up my nice quiet sunday morning forum browsing!! tried everthing on the laptop now I will go and fire up the old desk top and give it a go on there.

    I cleared the browser and no change? There is nothing on the bottom left of the page on the mobile version mate there is if i log out and view the forum as a guest but as soon as I log in it all goes wrong?????????? I will try turning the computer off and on again? Cheers Chris.

    hager or BG consumer unit?

    I have fitted quite a few hager boards and they have always been good. £85 seems like a good price and for the sake of a few quid it may be better to stick to what you know. Cheers Chris.

    Evening all, Today I got a new blackberry curve 8520 (only a cheap one brought with doubled up tesco club card vouchers) can I view the forum on it? as when I try i just get a white screen? I am sheet when it comes to phones I have had a basic phone for years so this has confused me . Cheers Chris.

    I would say that a voltage tester and proving unit are pretty important as in a lot of cases without them you cant start work.

    Its ok because they have probably joined a registered chip frying governing body so even though they cant cook chips to save there life it dont really matter as long as they pay there fees every year.

    I think you can get registered with napit in just a few weeks if you pay the extra £30 - £40 for fast track registration. Give them a call in the morning they will tell you for sure.

    Welcome to the forum, Just because a socket has 2 live 2 neutral & 2 cpcs connected into it does not mean its a ring circuit all it means is its not the end of a radial circuit. What type of consumer unit is it some more info would help?

    You can order wagos and all the bits to go with them from wagobox.com postage is reasonable too, I just got a box of them wago lighting boxes to try out for downlights.

    my brain went to mush aswell mate revised all day and doing past papers etc then starting the exam at that time is b*ll*cks would have much sooner took the exam in the morning.

    As long as there was no metal switch plates should be ok may be worth just making a note on the cert to cover yourself incase when you finish they follow you round and replace the plasic switches with metal ones.

    Could do with some more info mate programmers do have battery back up Do you have the make and model of the boiler? from what you say and If there is not a programmer external to the boiler it sounds like it could be a combi? If it is a combi then could you try linking out and temporary remove...
