Need to be either NIC EIC or SELECT registered to carry out works which require a building warrant (new builds, extensions etc). Also need to be a Scottish Building Standards approved certifier of construction. Any other works there's not a requirement to be a member of anything.

Currently doing some work in an commercial unit. Customer wants basic 400w halogen floods to illuminate car park and sign etc. I'm not too keen due to the frequency I'll be back changing lamps. What would you guys recommend that would give a similar light output.
Had a very similar fault once. No obvious cause for immersion to not be working but when tested with a clamp meter it was taking no load. Only solution was to replace the immersion.
I assume you now want to switch the lights on independently? Doesn't sound like you can do that with your wiring set up, your light must be looped from one to the other instead of both wired to the switch separately.
