Easily the best bike I've owned although I have a thing for Yamahas. They always came up with the original thinking solution. The TDM, the Majesty and X-Max scooters. Even the XZ550 if you can go back that far.
When the "mains" IE the RCD or MCB trip, does the oven run for a few minutes then trip? If so, I had a similar issue recently - also on a Neff although I'd imagine all ovens are similar. There is a temperature cut out inside the back of the oven. It detects any over heat and cut the power - or...
Both brilliant machines! My 1999 VFR800 went in for a MOT this morning ready to be moved on for something lighter and more manoeuvrable and a TDM could just fit the bill.
I'm amazed at the number of amusing and informative sparks sharing information on youtube. Nagy is entertaining, Artisan Electrics is informative and so many others. Andy Mac at Gosforth Handyman does a brilliant series called "Small Business Toolbox"

When I started all my kit was DeWalt...old DeWalt; The DC9*** series that I had used solidly for decade and restored my first homes before it went on the van. It's all well past retirement and the NiCad batteries are a pain so... Much as I love the yeller'n'black I'm trying out a bit of...
I may have to do something similar. The BBB is as dyslexia-friendly as a blown bulb in a dark room. The OSG isn't so bad but the rules appear to be "BBB only in the exam room". Even had another eye test in-case it was my eye sight.
Seen some dubious Q&A combination on the ----------- webby. The @ symbol for Ohms and minimum IR answer of 1, 4, 0.5 and 5 Ohms The "1" is correct). An obvious typo' that missed the "M". Paying 20 quid for decent test question may even be worth it unless there anyone has found some better...
Put more eloquently than I did ;)
Was there ever a time when unqualified chancers would not / could not undercut the skilled individual? By virtue of being in this forum, I'm willing to bet that the majority in here DO take pride their work.
Before anyone get riled at my comments, remember I'm incredibly grateful to this form and worked hard to be worthy of the help you guys freely offer.
Valid points in all of the previous posts BUT in framing what the situation should be we are in danger of never having any workable solution...
...and do wonders for the understanding of maths. I sat in college with lads of all ages who just could not get their head around Ohm's Law. Could not manipulate or re-arrange it after a year of using it. Fortunately, dad was a spark and they got well paid jobs for which I carry no bitterness...
LOOK MUM! See, I'm not wierd :)
Incidentally, the remarks about bikes ring true. I've ridden for motor bikes for over 30 years but the VFR800 goes up for sale this summer. I just don't bounce the way I used to or tarmac is getting harder so we will part while I have happy memories and no bruises.
As said earlier - philistine ;)
Love these old test meters and similar calculators, slide rules et-cetra. I'm after one of these but prices are rapidly passing that of a new Megger A NICE CURTA I CALCULATOR IN A VERY GOOD CONDITION | eBay -...
I'm far from the most experienced spark in here but here's something for comparison and one I gratefully lost today.
3 x 5m house extension in outer London. Requires sockets, down lights, Outside lights and sockets. TV co-ax connection and Part P certificate. Builder is somewhat disorganised so...
Certainly looks low to me. Guessing you will have made an initial visit; all of which cost time, money, skill and diesel. The client will bw better informed even if they never book your services.
