    Electrical car charging point installation

Does the Renault Zoe onboard Efli testing equipment need calibration every year? Just a thought!

    Wish i'd taken a photo........

I nearly had to go in a loft today but I just punched a hole in the ceiling instead then repaired it - I wish I’d taken a photo!

    Gobsmacked. Need opinions

What’s Brevity? Is that ‘Britain’s exit from the love of mcvities’? I adore digestives so I vote REMAIN!

What back box should I use

They haven’t really left you an option have they - as Telectrix said, it’ll still be accessible by unscrewing it. Needs must!

Need some downlight covers for loft...any recommendations?

Nature’s bounty - I really have no idea how they can charge so much for very simple moulded covers made of something that doesn’t burn. Ridiculous

    oven supplies 4mm or 6mm???

I think that, in this instance, future proofing seems to be a smaller CSA cable - I’m kidding but does seem to be the case!

Newbie who wants to replace bathroom extractor fan

‘Press the minus button 27 times - for the purpose of this video I shall only press it 4 times’ - no staying power, that girl, though I did mildly fall in love with her voice! Looks like a good fan, Fatah - i’d certainly make sure that it’s not working correctly before doing anything drastic...

    oven supplies 4mm or 6mm???

So bizarre when you run a 6mm then from the cooker outlet plate you use their cable that is a 1.5 or 2.5mm flex - I sometimes shake my fist at technological improvements! I’m deffo one for 4mm runs if cable length and load don’t scupper the idea. More people are having duel fuel so it’s a piddly...

    Cheap impact.........

Whatever you get for your birthday - you need to be thinking on adding other tools to the batteries you will be hopefully getting with your purchase. Plenty of threads on here with different opinions on tools. Probably big 4 or 5 names - keep an eye out for deals all over as you could start...

    Cheap impact.........

What other tools do you have - any that can interchange batteries? That’s always the way to go. If you have hitachi batteries that are compatible with the newer hitachi then go that way.

    Oven installation question.

That would be allowable Ian - it may be a good idea to update the Bakelite junction to something more up to date but that is up to you as long as terminations are neat and spot on for tightness. Each of your ovens will equate to 15 amps but even though on together (but acting separately) they...

Keep it down lads, you may wake the sleeping Giant (****) and he’ll come back and frighten the chickens again! Oh I forgot - ‘holy thread resurrection Batman!’

    Automatic wire strippers

I use an old set of Jokaris made in ‘west Germany’ for 2nd fix and when I can’t be tugging on wires and cables. Second photo shows the more modern type (though broken in this photo from eBay) based on the design in the first. Work very well and just need a clean of the jaws after a while so...
