the only current ratings i can find for tri-rated are for installing in free air so trunking seems out,you could use tray with parallel feeds to both boards all in trefoil or equally spaced
the cables fed off the 1000a acb should be about 800mm / 1000mm singles or 2 x 400mm singles in parallel per phase to each panelboard (not checked) what size are the installed cables and what size is the trunking (hope there,s no bends) but i could be wrong
i did a spell in maintenance 1962 as an apprentice and i can remember winding one of these connected to a wheatstone bridge testing the windings on motors (my arm aches just thinking about it )
it was an old fare ground generator on wheels can,t remember the size about 100a per phase 35mm 4c swa (the company was a M&E contractor ) it was early 70s i think
been there and done a similar set-up (they wouldn,t buy a c/o switch warned them it would bite them back ) but they insisted only 1 man would do the switching, went ok till the 1 man wasn,t there and the power went off end result blew suppliers fuses had to get replacements from lawsons and c/o...
never seen a house done with screwed conduit ie. couplings & bushes ect. did a lot in 60s with split conduit with rubber gromets on the ends so i doubt if you could rely on conduit for good earth
i think the awco company is/was in swansea, we used some in sheffield in the 60s most ends were crimp lugs some of them bi-metal but did solder some lugs (special flux & solder ) there is data on aluminium cable in the back of the regs book
