MK Logic Plus vs Hager Sollysta - which one should I choose?

I would doubt it. The defects period when installed would begin from when it's installed, but that's not the same thing as the manufacturer's warranty which could only logically be from date of manufacture in my opinion.

MK Logic Plus vs Hager Sollysta - which one should I choose?

I don't see the issue - seems entirely fair and reasonable to me.

    satisfactory unsatisfactory

You could, but that's getting into the territory of remedial action as opposed to reporting. And you would want to be certain that it's not something critical.

What limations do you put on a Eicr.

Wouldn't really agree. It shouldn't be necessary (and indeed may be undesirable) to remove every faceplate for inspection - even in a domestic property. EICR FI faults holding up Satisfactory certificate.

If the circuits couldn't be identified then FI seems entirely fair.

    Approved tradesmen scheme

To be fair the JIB has been remarkably consistent about Gold Card requirements, and fairly inexpensive too.

No isolation of Neutral in Single phase boards

It's generally not desirable to interrupt the neutral on a three-phase system, unless it's a TT system.
