    Stupid Question

That’s right. Connectors and tape are not safe. What you should do is Wago, Sokitz wrap around thing and then a blank plate.

    Steel Container

A client has recently had a 10ft x 6ft Steel Cabin delivered. It will be a permanent addition for a block of flats outside for storing things in for contractors. They want a light inside and a floodlight outside. Currently next to it about 5 yards away is a bin store which has a light in it...

    Insulation resistance on modern installations

I use click connectors for all spots so can just unplug them. Then for all light fittings, mount the bases, strip back and Wago. IR it all then connect it all and R1+R2. Testing I think takes twice as long on initial verification now.

    Earth Bonding In A Bathroom

I’ve read it in full now, I agree with James. I think the wet floor has tracked to the hallway light and then in turn touching the taps has provided a path back to earth through you. I like to think when they have done the bathroom that they added additional protection to the bathroom circuits...

    16A off 32A ring

Mate... it’s the regs. It might be electrically sound, but if it’s not and you end up in court what are you going to say... ‘Erm yes you honour, it’s against the regs but I did consult aload of random people on a forum till someone said it’s alright so I did it’

    Earth Bonding In A Bathroom

I gave up reading as soon as I read an electrician wants to install supplementary bonding in a bathroom, we’re not in the early naughtys now. Get us a picture of the mains board, with the cover on will be fine. 1600184179 I’m going to guess every circuit apart from the downstairs lighting has...

    Consumer unit trip

If it’s staying on for a short while you might have banged part of the mouse apart ?. Get an electrician in mate, if it’s on 3 rooms some methodical insulation resistance testing won’t take long to locate the fault and hopefully it will be a easy repair.
