    is it just me?

get a plastic backbox with white knockouts in, they dont crack and flex a little, they are a lot better. how many times have you push a socket/switch back or overtightend the 3.5mm pins and crack. ive only made a few mi ends off, it would be nice to do a job in it

Safe Isolation of CU fed by PV.

if you turn the board of it will kill the power the the inverter and it will stop the transformer inside from converting the dc to ac so it will be perfectly safe. if your not happy there will be a local isolator next to the inverter and turn the dc isolator off after the ac if you want as well

    How to wire this LED?

why not get some oil filled electric rads and led light fittings it should be a lot cheaper in the long run, plus you can temperature control it then you are going to want a constant temperature in there and these led's wont put enough heat out as they will be tiny and the solder would melt...

    Step Drill Bits

i would use a trunking header rather than stuffer or whatever for each cable/circuit so its irrelevant what the ip rating of the trunking is. i wouldn't install cables clipped direct except as a last resort, id rather have a length of mini trunking upto the board than clipped direct

    Step Drill Bits

it doesnt need to be flame retardent the reg is about the enclosure. i think a brass bush and lockring is better than a plastic stuffing gland.

    Step Drill Bits

most step cutters will be fine, ive had mine for a year and it still works fine (ive used it on panels, unistrut and trunking etc) if you do use a holesaw use a decent one as some don't last long

    Hunt caught out

from what I've seen what a lot are complaining about is that it is just junior doctors that will be 7 days a week at the moment. what good is having doctors and nurses 7 days a week when essential services like surgeons and xray staff are not. if they brought staff onto a standard shift...

    cable reels?

every electrician usually buys 100m drums or longer. ive spent most of my time working with 500m drums of control cable. now one size dispenser wont work. the only reason id use a set of jacks is if im pulling in multiple cables, say 6 at a time.
