Hello fellow sparky guys / girls
Been away from this forum here a while now. Done a spell over in AUS, now back in the UK.
I have a fair amount of knowledge about BS7671. Used to be a QS in my last role.
I need to get the 18th update course to renew my gold card. Any online courses...
Yo
You will have to install a stop button and change the wiring in the control circuit if you want it to latch on.
Only if it is safe to wire it like that.
9kw kiln will pull around 39amps
7kw kiln will pull around 30amps
The Electric showers are quite large as well, usually around 8 or 9kw
I wouldn’t be taking a shower and using the kiln at the same time. When do you propose to use the kiln?
If it’s for students - based on your description most likely will be ok.
Wouldn’t be sticking my name to it until I had full loading specs from each unit. Ie heater sizes etc
Ah yesss I missed this.
Well swap for at least a class II fitting or rewire the circuit if you are going to change all the fittings anyway. Small cost probably.
Dewalt or Makita for value for money.
By bare units and batteries as I find this is cheaper to accumulate a set and not have what you don’t need.
If you can find a good deal on Milwaukee I would buy them. They are on the pricey side of your budget.
