Why has this forum become riddled with critical and sarcastic Trolls

I do agree partly - sometimes threads are hijacked midway and taken off track for a friendly bit of slagging, But it’s make me cackle. I do have my favourites

Cooker connected to unfused connection unit with 6mm twin and earth

You are never going to code 1 it. Millions of house are done like that. Note that it needs fixing and the faults which may arise if they don’t , and let them worry about it

Whats your opinions Would you C3 it ?

Everyone has their ways of doing things on jobs, but like what has been said - if you can’t quote a regulation it contravenes then you certainly can’t code it. I always put high to low from main switch or RCD.

    Anyone work in injection molding?

I work with plastic extrusion plants, injection moulding is complex but once the programs are set nothing much is suppose to go wrong. Fault thermocouples, heaters and sensors I would say. Be ready to learn quick

12v lamp above bath zone 1

No one uses transformers these days. Throw the old stuff in the bin and buy a decent suitable IP Rated fitting

    GEFRAN 40B96 - Pressure Imdicator

You have given great advice to the OP and myself , but I would be worried about what’s he is upto? Especially if he can’t understand rudimentary terms of C & N/O. Who knows what that machine does? Let hope he doesn’t bodge it

Dodgy trade pictures for your amusement! - 1 Million Views!

Yeah tell me about it. I had a quick ‘visual’ of the rest of the flat and it wasn’t great. Slack connections at accessories, cables falling out, blanks missing from boards. It goes on.....

Dodgy trade pictures for your amusement! - 1 Million Views!

When I arrive to a new build flat, I would expect maybe a faulty switch or something small to be found. I started to disconnecting lights and pulling downlights out. What a shabby attempt at a joint honestly. I was at the new build flats for a further 4 days fixing all downlights and...

    Neutrals overheating

Rubbish knockoff products, poor terminations, poor design. I think some people also think a neutral doesn’t do anything, but it also a live/line conductor.

Electrician Jobs Experienced Commercial Electricians required at Waterloo project

Let’s have a little more info rather than 5 word messages. You are supposed to be trying to grab people’s attention. How many hours? Start times, is it day shift nights? Cards in or SE? I wouldn’t work for you right away cause the advert lacks enthusiasm. Wonder what the jobs like?

2.5kw split aircon unit on 20amp Radial

2.5kw is around 10amps 2 pcs and 2 monitors aren’t going to take you over 20amps I reckon. I say connect it via a Fused connection unit and should be ok. Tin hat on
