It's something that could save a bit of time but never mind, good old bolt and nut method it is.
Has anyone had experienced with the swa cutter tool? (Like plumbers pipe slice) for cutting then snapping off the armours. Do they save time?
I've been searching for a part that I used once and can't remember where it came from but I thought it was a neat little idea and could save some time if doing a lot of swa gland terminations. The part in question is a brass banjo with a flying lead soldered onto it! I want to buy a pack of 50...
I had no earth at a double socket once, when checking my values with my MFT scratching my head, i was completely baffled as I had run the new circuit.
Turned out to be a missing peice of the earth bar on the Click Polar range socket i used.
My fault for not checking it visually hah
This thread reminds me of a Programmer I connected to control lighting contactors in a shop. When it switched OFF, it then fed a PIR motion sensor which would bring on the lights for staff or managers visiting after work hours.

You can fix this damaged cable.
Just use the blowtorch as mentioned, also the pots with the earth flyers built in will make it easier.

I think this orange concentric cable only has sleeved bl?ack conductors around and no bare ones for the earth, where they all are neutral. and I also believe it has the aluminium core.
So might this cause an earth path break in the flats? surely a protective earth should be supplied to all the...
