Garage install using 4.0mm SWA 3core, clipped direct 10m then buried underground 10m.
Would 4.0mm SWA be sufficient to carry at most 38 amp? (32amp ring + 6amp lights)
Looking in regs (page 280) I'm not sure what to use 6.0mm or 4.0mm, as for 3core it states maximum current carrying...

I am looking at installing a fan, however I don't want to buy a set of core bits for at least £150 so I think I shall just buy one core bit, which size would you say would be the most common, looking around I see fan diameters vary from around 170mm to 210mm so I guess just buy the one...

i came a cross a 16mm two core cable today and they want an other small supply taking off if. can i still use it? as i got told, you can only use the armor for an earth if the cable size is no bigger than a 6mm. i was thinking can i install an earth rod and RCD's to get round this problem
